Despite international borders reopening, there hasn’t been an influx of workers to the country as now regional businesses say they can’t find enough workers to fill the gap.
“The situations become really dire,” Owner of Zebra Lounge Craig Jarman said.
The Zebra Lounge at Pyrmont NSW welcomed customers back after lockdown but are now currently struggling to keep going due to the shortage of staff.
“It’s got to the stage now where most of us are working seven days a week just to try and keep our doors open,” Mr Jarman said.
Another business out in regional, Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory, is on the hunt for 20 employees, both casual and full-time, in order to get through the Easter period.
