Former Australian cricket coach John Buchanan says spin bowler Shane Warne was a “generous person”.
The Australian cricketer died at the age of 52 from a suspected heart attack.
“You don’t coach someone like Shane Warne; I mean, my job was really to try and provide him all the tools and the environment which he needed to perform at his best because he was the guy that…had incredible skill and the ability to bring that to his stage,” Mr Buchanan told Sky News Australia.
He said Mr Warne was “certainly a generous person” and a “family man” who loved his children.
“We’ll obviously play Boxing Day Test matches…and so Warne would host the team at his place and just enjoyed having people around.”
