A Florida woman discovered several immobile iguanas in her yard on Sunday, January 30, as officials warned of the reptiles falling from trees amid a cold snap in the region. The National Weather Service (NWS) reported the cold-blooded reptiles “slow down or become immobile when temps drop into the 40s.” “They may fall from trees, but they are not dead,” wrote the NWS. Temperatures in parts of southern Florida plummeted as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit (about -4 Celsius) on Sunday morning.
