Heavy fog descended on the New York City area on February 3, limiting visibility. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecast minimum visibility of around a mile for parts of the city, and as little as 0.2 miles on Long Island and portions of Connecticut on Thursday evening. The NWS warned drivers to use “extra caution” when navigating roadways. This footage, recorded on Thursday afternoon, shows foggy conditions in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Large puddles and mud can be seen as snow leftover from the previous weekend’s storm melted. Credit: Samuel Oakford via Storyful
