The significant supply issues around rapid antigen tests is another mark against the Morrison government’s pandemic response, says Counsel House Managing Director Claire March.
Ms March told Sky News Australia the government has been “too slow” to order rapid antigen test kits as it tries to convince voters it is “mature and competent” enough to lead the country ahead of the federal election.
“Australia needs these things (RAT kits) to make our economy work properly,” Ms March said.
“What do we have? A federal government that effectively was too slow to put in the order and now our economy has this significant weight drag as we head into the new year.”
