Industry leaders reject Vic government proposal of additional paid sick leave for casual staff

Industry leaders have rejected a Victorian government proposal offering additional paid leave for casual workers.

Industry leaders and the opposition have criticised the Andrews government announcement that would see casual staff paid up to five days a year for sick and carers leave.

They argue it’ll add unnecessary stress to Victorian businesses already doing it tough after the pandemic.
