New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has postponed her own wedding after implementing new COVID restrictions.
The country is moving to a red alert level – the highest level of restrictions – in a bid to slow the spread of Omicron with the new rules including more mask wearing and social distancing.
Hospitality settings will be capped at 100 customers but schools will remain open.
Prime Minister Ardern was set to marry television personality Clarke Gayford later on in the summer.
