The Thai navy and state agencies were attempting to contain a crude oil spill near Map Ta Phut in Thailand’s Rayong province on January 26, the Bangkok Post reported, citing officials. The oil leaked from an underwater pipeline owned by the company Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited, officials said.
