Demonstrators gathered in the streets of Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka, on April 3, defying curfew to continue protests against alleged government mismanagement of the economy. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, also known as Gota, issued a 36-hour curfew on April 2, following mass protests in Colombo amid fuel shortages and lengthy power cuts. Local media reported that Sri Lanka’s entire cabinet of ministers resigned en-masse on April 3, with the exception of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
