Pretty as a picture! Queen Letizia of Spain is perfectly poised in a pink dress as she joins King Felipe VI at annual contemporary art fair in Madrid

Queen Letizia of Spain looked the picture of poise as she attended the opening of a contemporary art fair in Madrid.

Looking typically stylish, the mother-of-two, 50, sported an elegant pink frock as she joined King Felipe VI, 55, at the annual outing.

Walking alongside her husband, art-lover Letizia admired the works on display at the ARCO 2023 Contemporary Art Fair in the Spanish capital today.

Adding an extra pop of colour to her fashionable ensemble, the royal opted for a vibrant floral handbag.

She teamed the midi dress, which was cinched at the waist with a matching pink belt and boasted rolled-up three-quarter sleeves, with nude heels.

The royal finished off her look with a glamorous pair of amber and purple earrings, while sporting a smattering of makeup, including bronzer and a pink eye shadow.

Her husband King Felipe looked just as sophisticated in a pinstripe suit with a colourful tie.

The event was hosted by ARCO Madrid, an international contemporary art fair in Spain that has been running since 1982.

A total of 211 galleries from 36 countries are participating in the fair until February 26.

Former news presenter Letizia is a keen art fan and regularly attends the annual occasion.

It’s been a busy week for Letizia, who on Monday joined her husband King Felipe at the National Culture Awards 2021 in Zaragoza.

The royal turned heads in a recycled black and pink midi dress with sheer panelling around the neckline for the award ceremony.

The Spanish queen first wore the unique dress in 2019 for a gala in Seoul, hosted by former South Korean President Moon Jae-in and wife Kim Jung-sook.

Showing off her thrifty side by re-wearing the garment for the awards at the Pignatelli building in Spain‘s Aragon region, Letizia paired the chic dress with pale pink heels and a coordinating clutch bag.

The mother-of-two swept her brunette tresses to one side in loose curls, showing off drop earrings.

Keeping her look on-trend with a statement make-up look, the Spanish royal paired vibrant fuchsia pink eyeshadow with statement lashes and a glossy, muted pink lip.

Meanwhile, King Felipe was also stylish in a navy two-piece single breasted suit, which he wore alongside a pale blue shirt, and deep red tie for the event.
