Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says there are real industrial problems for the Perrottet government.
Dozens of Sydney train stations are closed and hundreds of services cancelled as the union and government failed to come to an agreement over pay, safety and privatisation concerns.
“The last train strike was in January 2018. We have already seen a nurses strike and teachers strike this year,” Mr Clennell said.
“A combination of inflation and a decision during the pandemic to freeze public service wages no doubt contributing to this.”
