Former ASIO boss Dennis Richardson says there has been unity across the body politic in standing up to China.
“In the face of its economic pressures, in speaking out against China’s militarization of the South China Sea and in respect of Hong Kong and the Uyghurs,” Mr Richardson told Sky News Australia.
“There’s been no difference.
“Therefore, for a government to accuse the opposition of wanting to appease China for its own political reasons, doesn’t serve any purpose.”
