A palatial four-level pad with a floorplan like an ultra-deluxe version of Cluedo has sold for big bucks.
A palatial four-level Toorak mega mansion has sold for more than $22m.
The floorplan to 18 Grange Rd is akin to a deluxe version of Cluedo, with curvaceous balconies, a grand office and study, music room and glass-encased circular meals area among its lavish perks, with most bedrooms and living spaces opening outdoors in elegant style.
Abercromby’s agent Sam Goddard could not comment on the nine-bedroom, nine-bathroom house’s undisclosed price, but it’s understood to have sold within its $22m-$24m guide.

“I think the biggest drawcard was the overall delivery of what it offered the market; the commitment to quality was the recurring feedback I got,” he said.
“It was built by Davis Henderson and designed by architect Christopher Doyle. I sold the land to the sellers a number of years ago and it was built as their forever home, so the detailing is immaculate and the feedback from the market was that it was built very, very well.”
Mr Goddard said the huge scale of the 1339sq m property was another factor.
A massive underground garage with comfortable space for six cars, and a large home theatre, gym and wine cellar are on the lowest level.
Move upstairs to sprawling living spaces on the ground floor, and luxurious bedrooms — all with their own ensuites — on the top two.
The buyers were a local family, while the sellers are understood to be moving overseas.
“This campaign showcased for me that there are a lot of people looking — and there have been a number of transactions taking place — north of $20m,” Mr Goddard said.
“So that position in the marketplace is becoming increasingly popular and the demand is definitely there.
“We had multiple offers in this campaign, showcasing the strength of this top-end sphere for the right property and the right spot — known builders and architects, correct style, and overall land size are the main drivers for these kinds of outcomes to take place.”
