A ruling by the NSW Court of Appeal to clarify whether Prime Minister Scott Morrison pushing through a number of preslection candidates in the state is legal is expected as early as Monday.
It comes as the Liberal Party revealed the final nine NSW-based federal candidates ahead of the upcoming election – with the lineup consisting of mostly women.
“If the government is unsuccessful, 12 preselections will have to be taken back to a bitterly divided state executive,” Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said.
