Health Minister Greg Hunt says approximately 53 per cent of the eligible population in Australia have received a COVID booster vaccine.
“The boosters, over 200,000 yesterday to now, well over 8.8 million and approximately 53 per cent of the eligible population,” Mr Hunt said.
“So, the boosters are also at the forefront of global uptake, but we want to encourage people to continue to come forward.”
It comes as 95.7 per cent of the Australian population have received their first dose of a COVID vaccine, and almost 93.7 per cent have received their second.
